    Hi,

recently I had to replace my keyboard, which worked out pretty good. But, since then the touchpad won't work anymore. The only thing I did to the touchpad was to take out its ribbon cable, which is leading to the main board, and put it back during reassembling.
Before, the touchpad was working perfectly. Now it doesn't even appear in the device manager.

How do I know what is the reason for that? Can I check the ribbon cable somehow?
Maybe the touchpad itself is broken. How can I check this?

I also wonder if there should be another cable to the touchpad, since the ribbon cable is the only connection leading to the touchpad. I wonder where does it get its power supply from?

    I would appreciate any help.
